Just finished putting together my first PC. Mostly inspired after playing Overwatch beta on PS4 to do it so quickly(originally wanted to wait til i saved up 1k). I don't have a gfx (waiting for 4x480 + money) yet and I was wondering if there were any games I could use to practice on before jumping in like a faggot. i5 6500 is my processor, so integrated friendly I suppose. Never played ANY fps on pc before.
pls help

DOOM is an easy one. Brutal Doom if you want to get used to FPS
Then Quake II/Quake III Arena
Welcome to paradise my friend

You can probably run Unreal Tournament 1999 on it as well
As you can probably tell, the trend for early PC gaming is FPS.
I would also recommend XCOM, Heroes III, and Age of Empires II

This guys got it. Unreal Tournament 99 is fantastic for getting your aim spot on. Play the singleplayer at a good difficulty, and you'll progress like nothing else.
Remember to have fun and go through classics, even if they don't help your aim.

Tf2
its free and fun as hell. its balance is great except for demoman, but you'll get a lot of hours out of it
>waiting for 480

>4x480
Wait, what?
You could try TF2
It's pretty similar to Overwatch and I think it'll probably run on integrated graphics

He's running 4 480's so he can get 1070 performance, simple.

Newer single player games that would get you into FPS would probably be DOOM, Bioshock Infinite and Wolfenstein: The New Order.
If you have friends playing Borderlands or Left 4 Dead is also a good idea.

>finally got a Pee Cee
>im gonna waste it on Overwatch haha!
>>343026845
Probably just meant RX 480, 4 is right next to R after all.
>>343024652
Someone didn't see the hardware tests showing the 480 being less powerful than a 970.

Thee 970 is 300 at the lowest.
Paying less for lesser powered hardware seems about right.
