Out of pure curiosity, why does this thing make a subtle grind noise when processing data?
>>343021459
It's data chunklets moving along the wires. It's normal.
>>343021690
I understand that much but would like something more technical. Also, I apologize for not posting this in /g/.

What is it. It's probably just the bulb.
>>343022515
That's a commercial access point. There are no bulbs. I've been reading that it is a DC-to-DC oscillation.
>>343022763
If it were electrical oscillation it wouldn't do it when it was only processing data, it would do it constantly. Right?
>>343023165
That's what I thought but it could have to do with wireless transfer power.
Why are you nitwits sperging out over an air freshener?
>>343023748
Your mom got played out.
>>343021459
What is that a monoxide detector?
>>343022763
Something is broke or designed wrong if it's making grinding noises..
>>343023165
not necessarily. When TXing, the draw on the powersupply will be much higher than when RXing or sitting idle.

But realistically electrical signal noise shouldn't sound like "grinding" so not sure what's wrong with your router
