A lot of Dark Souls III levels I feel could have been better designed in that instead of long levels that slowly wear you down with small mobs and threats, they just shove tank enemy after tank enemy for a long stretch of a level. Wear djura armor or something with high frenzy resist.
When they attempt to do the long arm grab attack, just shoot them. The parry window is gigantic.
A visceral with a follow-up charged R2 ought to kill them unless you're playing a gimmicky build.
I farmed the ones before Orphan because they're closer to a lantern.

What I said suggests that using a lighter weapon is actually advantagious since you can hit first and still stagger. Just grab any straight/curved/weebstick sword and spam away until they're no longer.
Or do the same with any other heavier weapon. Just be careful not to get hit at least until the hyperarmor kicks in, and obviously never fight more than one at a time, especially with a lighter weapon.

The first form camera gets all weird when he flies up and makes me lose where he is at, then when he comes down to hit his head half the time my attacks just barely whiff. I haven't yet beaten the second form because I get hit by that one attack then while being locked into the getting up animation I die.
