It's fun. You can get a good enough feel for the game if you rush through character creation and play for less than two hours, after that you can just refund it if you don't like it. If you do decide to keep it, I recommend you check out some mods for the game. There are skyrim-level amounts of mods for Warband, some of which are pretty great.

That said, I really want some gta clone now, with good driving and an interesting map to explore. I have Saint's Row 4 but free roaming was shit in 3 and I doubt that changed. Sleeping dogs have shitty driving but I don't know about the map, the definitive version is memed to hell and regular is ruined by cheat dlc. I already spent 150 hours on my latest San Andreas replay few months ago and don't want to go for 3 or Vice City right now.
