Halo 5 is an abortion of a game. Story was so half-assed it made 4's story feel like a masterpiece. Tons of people praise the multiplayer but it the spawns are atrocious to the point where you'll spawn five feet from an enemy sometimes. The modes are lackluster(Warzone especially). Custom games and forge are dead. Oh yea, and you want a cool armor piece? Enjoy getting one req pack per level only for RNG to fuck you over.

In the terms of an FPS or multiplayer game in general? I hate to be that guy but Overwatch is pretty fun. PvZ: GW games are great. DOOM is a great game - story is very well done and multiplayer is entertaining to a point.
Firefall does this and 90% of the game can be done by yourself

Honestly if you haven't played Halo 4 just finish off Halo 3. Don't get me wrong I liked some things about Halo 4 but if you're not a lorefag it will be confusing as hell. And don't get me start ed on the abomination that is H5:G. Best to just end it at its original conclusion.

The fun factor of H5 MP overcome the artistic design flaws, but that's just me. I've put 300 hours into Halo 5 MP and I've probably only got 60% of the unlocks.
It sucks but whatever the armor customization isn't what keeps me coming back, it's the gameplay. Admittedly I haven't played much the past few weeks. Been on an Overwatch kick.
