If you put three into every discipline and talk to Beckett in a certain way when you meet him in the tower after you get the sarcophagus he pats you on the back for mastering all your disciplines and gives you Celerity. If you're another clan he'll teach you one Gangrel discipline but all of them including Celerity are capped at three dots.

As for the relationship between gangrels and the furries...
It's complicated. And by complicated I mean that different writers/editions had different takes on the thing.
According to one edition Gangrels have a pact with werewolves, which sounds weird as fuck since kine are considered "diabolical" by the furries.
One other take could be that gangrels are -with the tremere, for different reasons- the vampires with better odds in a battle against the furries. Protean gives them claws which are as effective while Fortitude give them a fighting chance, or at least a chance to survive.
Gangrels also have peculiar siring rites which make only the most diehard neonates survive to find a Sire and go on with their unlives, so they tend to be more physically apt than most vampires and considerably difficult to kill.
So gangrels have better odds of survival against a furry attack. Another possibility would be Animalism helping them avoid werewolves.

I believe that varies more on location than anything. I was reading the New Orleans by Night book and it mentioned a territorial dispute between Kindred and Fera, which was setteled on a agreement and they lived side by side for a while. Also Sabbat Gangrel in cahoots with Black Spiral Dancers.

You can basically max out a stat that will make the game a breeze with any character from the very start. You can have fucking SEVEN persuasion points with Ventrue before the tutorial even starts.

Last time I replayed, I went in as Tremere bloodgunner. Probably the most OP build possible. Guns at 10, Blood Shield or what it's called and you just fuck up everything instantly.
