This is the kind of shitty liberal attitude that got him killed.
There may be a possibility that someone is still inside, but on the outside they're still dangerous spore monsters that want to kill you.

I thought she should have trusted David a lot more during and immediately after the abandoned sawmill part. He saves your life like 100 times (especially on harder difficulties where you can just use him to get one hit switchblade kills on all the infected that attack him), and he is so nice and cooperative - even after you take his rifle and push him around. But the whole time Ellie is like "this guy is such an asshole" when one minute earlier he literally saves your life from a clicker

It's clear he was a bad guy in the end, but I don't get why she hated his guts on sight. Especially considering she so easliy became attached to someone who was almost as bad: Joel

Pretty sure most of the people who say that either havent played it or the did but the game didn't live up to their expectations because of how hyped up it was. The singleplayer was pretty long and the combat was very good. It also had a great multiplayer.

the opening scene of TLOU is so fucking raw. In what other game or movie do you see something as fucked up as a cute little girl getting shot and dying in her father's arms?
>those little squeaking noises she makes just before she dies

I know people say they think it wasn't sad because they needed more character development, but I get the feels just watching that one real-life webm of the father carrying his dead 8-yo daughter from her bed out to the ambulance, and that's with like no context whatsoever (or even sound). IIRC she was terminally ill and died in her sleep

Yeah, I think people who say they need more character development to care about her might be somewhere on the autism spectrum. It's a father losing his daughter, that's sad in any context.

>>342959020

Also isn't Ellie invincible just like Elizabeth from Bioshock Shitfinite?

>>
>>342958897
the most fun way to play the combat is to first beat the game on normal and to make sure you have a ton of ammo when you reach each chapter. Then pick a chapter from the chapter select and play on survivor or grounded or whatever. You have the very hard difficulty, but you have some ammo stocked up too. Loads of fun and allows you to play all reckless and aggressive when normally the higher difficulties make you rely on mostly bricks and stealth (because you find like no ammo ever)
>>
>>342959474
>Also isn't Ellie invincible just like Elizabeth from Bioshock Shitfinite?

Nope. Any enemy can latch onto her and you are given a prompt to save her or she dies and it's game over.

well, when there was an emotional conflict in the game, it was often broken up by a fight with bandits or infected, and after the fight, things would calm down and everyone would make up. This happened with Tommy and Joel at the plant and with Ellie and Joel at the farmhouse. And again with Ellie and Joel when she mans the sniper rifle. It seems like fighting together was a way of bonding. But that wasn't true with David for some reason
>>
>>342957947
they originally wanted an older actor to play Joel, but they let Troy try out for the part anyways. His performance was so good that they let him keep the part.

the opening sequence where he's crying is real because they kept telling him to do it over and over again until he got frustrated and tired.
>>
>>342959964
Which makes him a liberal.
>>
>>342959020
I've never felt more for a video game than that moment right there.
I'm not saying this game is a masterpiece or the best ever, just that that opening scene was the most emotional and well orchestrated piece I have yet to see in any game.
>>
>>342960145
>the opening sequence where he's crying is real because they kept telling him to do it over and over again until he got frustrated and tired.

Also because he was imagining his actual daughter dying to get a convincing performance.

Don't remind me.
Ellies part in the abandoned sawmill, the Hotel portion before you and Ellie are separated, and just the entire winter portion was the epitome of AIDS.

Weird to see that 99% of people have completed it on PSN profiles though when 9% have only completed survival difficulty. Might be a glitch.

well yes, ants are too simple to have any kind of a consciousness. But if cordyceps fungus could do this to humans, we can only speculate on what the effect would be like on your mind as you slowly turned.

it'd probably just be like the onset of delirium as you get more and more brain damage until your mind is essentially dead

ellie's part in the sawmill isn't that hard. Just use David like a shield to get one-hit-knife-KO's on all the infected that that he shoots/punches/gets attacked by (while they are still stunned or grappling with him)
>>
>>342956504

That's legal in most first world areas.

If there is a sequel in development do you think Druckman and Straley will be in charge of it?

>>342965698
I didn't mean it like that, just thought maybe after doing 2 games in a row they might be a little burned out. And if development of TLOU2 started sometime during Uncharted 4 then it might be a bit hard to do 2 things at once?

But hey, what the fuck do I know about game development
>>
just played it for the first time in like 3 years, I forgot the feels

>Ant's don't have brains. Insects have nervous systems.

Ants have brains. Tiny ones, but they are in fact brains and considered as such. There are some creatures which have nervous systems but nothing which can be considered a brain, but ants are not one of them.
