Get used to doing Holds normally. I think it helps immensely with getting used to dual wielding.
And I also suggest getting used to using the sticks for slide notes. I preferred L1/R1 at first (still do), but Extreme starts throwing pairs of slide notes where you will have to pull the sticks in the same direction (and you obviously can't do R1+R1/L1+L1)
In addition, I bound R2 to quadruple notes for comfort.

They are still extremely rare compared to other notes where you have to alter the direction in which L1/R1 are easier. It's better to just learn where you have those specific notes and use the sticks for it and use L1/R1 for everything else.

The PS4 build in feature only records at 720p/30fps, even if the games run at 1080p/60. Also sometimes because of licencing music can be turned off for stuff. Like you can record senbonzakura and you'll only hear special effects, but no actual music. I really need to check out some more triple notes in songs. There are two in Tell Your World that are back to back. One is linked like a normal triangle, the other flipped. I took the time last night to see what the actual button combinations were, believing they were different when in actuality they're the same combination.
One anon mentioned something about the arcade version where triple notes on the left side excluded circle while triples on the right side excluded triangle, to correspond to the arcade version controls. The two in the song are both on the left side and match this. Will probably go through some today and see how well that holds up.

I've been wanting to talk a bit about Gumi's game. I tried playing it recently and I have to say, it's really sad how mismanaged it looks.
Actually playing the songs and looking into the menus, the room, diary and stuff, it feels like it could have been a much better game than it turned out to be. The rhythm of the notes actually felt much more "rhythmic" than in the Diva games, and the 60 FPS is great. The short songs, and the poorly presented features of the game kind of ruined its potentials though.
