Why did people get so salty about Hatred when it's just Postal with Nathan Explosion?

>implying people even remember postal
You're giving people too much credit.
And why did people get so salty about Postal?
>Postal had N64 level graphics
>Postal was much more tongue-in-cheek than the ultra-edgy Hatred
>Postal was released in 1997, Hatred in 2015

>much more tongue-in-cheek
He's not talking about Postal 2, you know.
People didn't really got mad at Hatred, it was just classy journos wanting to create a hot topic for clickbait articles. Noone would give a fuck those nu-male cunts wouldn't hammer it down our throats.
People needed a distraction, something to justify their existence, even for a week. Then something else came, and hatred was deservedly forgotten.

the first game is still tongue in cheek, people shooting rocket launchers at you? ostriches everywhere? do you hear people's dialogue in that game? even postal dude asks a cashier "what, you don't sell postal?" at one point.

People got mad over hatred because it's an edgy mall goth angry about the discontinuation of hula hoop killing everyone without real reason.
They could've made it zombies, war themed, aliens, killer sharks with legs, body snatchers.
They literally went with a mall goth massacre simply for the controversy and the free advertising it would bring them.
For the same reason people got salty over Postal 2 when it came out.
These are not separate entities, and the controversies surrounding them aren't separate entities. It's just a reincarnation.
I assure you some impotent cunt in 2025 would release another edgefest and it will again make all the moralist babbies of the world go into self-righteous hysteria.
