Randomly tried to start shit with Blizzard, which I'm sure they had a hearty chuckle over.
Blizzard launched their open beta of Overwatch during Battleborn's launch week, killing their growth.
Game still hasn't gotten a proper optimization patch, just patches to remove effects to make certain maps playable on AMD hardware.
60 dollar game with a 20 dollar season pass and also microtransactions for items already in the base game.
Game went on sale a bare two weeks after launch, leaving people that preordered or paid full price feeling cheated.
New hero unlocks without season pass are locked behind 50+ games' worth of currency.
Game has been out nearly two months and still haven't seen hide nor hair of the season pass content.
They actually had a Play with the Devs this week, hosting streamers and having people from Gearbox out and playing with the community. Even had a very limited time shift code for rare skins. Player population was about 900.
I bought the game and I've had a blast with it, but god damn did Gearbox fuck up hard in a lot of simple areas.

Fuss between CoD and BF is proper competition because they share a lot of similar characteristics and need to focus on what differentiates their products to convince customers that theirs is worth buying at the very least along with the other if not instead of.
Battleborn vs Overwatch is improper because there's a world of difference between how the two function and play apart from first person hero shooter. It boiled down to brand marketing and nothing else which is just kikery in its purest.
