Im tempted to buy Overwatch and exclusively play this eskimo chick.
I've never seen a non-sniper character summon so much asspain in a video game. What does she do that's so bad? How do I harvest a fat load of salt from everybody in a game if I buy this and use her?

Basically pyro from tf2 but instead of slowly dying normally, you get stunned and have to watch her goofy face as she headshots you until you die. Also she has some of the most annoying voice lines to spam such as "ah-MEI-zing" and "Sorry, Sorry Sorry"
She's the best character to play when you want to annoy people

Multiple reasons.
1) Her left click is an ice beam. Hold it down to shoot more ice. If you hit someone with it long enough, you can freeze them.
2) Her right click is a strong, very accurate icicle shooter. It shoots rather slowly though, but if you froze someone you can easily pick them off at your leisure.
3) Her skills are:
A) A giant ice wall that will block most characters from getting around it. Annoying Mei players will toss this everywhere, even against their own team mates and trap them in small rooms
B) Making herself invulnerable to everything and heal herself for a big chunk of health, thus invalidating anything you did to her.
C) Her ultimate skill is a AoE version of her ice beam that will freeze everyone in the affected area and do heavy damage to them. She will then pick you all off one by one.
Her entire reason for existing is literally to deny other players something. Deny them movement, deny them kills, deny them making progress.

Her skills are horrible mix of obnoxious and useless.
If she's on the other team, you'll get slowed down/stopped by freezes and ice walls.
If she's on your team she'll block your ultimates with ice walls and provide no damage or support.
I'm sure the people who play her have fun, but the other 11 people playing wish she would fuck off.
You counter her by not being in her fucking face. If she can't freeze you, she can't do shit.

I genuinely don't understand where the asspain comes from. The only time she's a threat is when she catches you 1 on 1 because she can freeze and kill you. I believe the reason so many are pissed off is because they don't play the game properly. If you are on the point/pushing the payload like you should, you'll be grouped with your teammates and Mei will be wholly ineffective. If you're off doing your own thing she will kill you easily.

Alternatively, you're the only one on the payload and everyone else is off trying to rack up the most kills so when Mei comes along it's still 1v1.

Have you ever been a Reinhardt, standing on the payload alone while half of the enemy team is slowly wearing down your shield because everyone else on your team is either going solo or died trying?
And inevitably, you're going to run into a Bastion who will tear your shield to shreds. So you're awkwardly crouching behind the payload trying to use it as cover while desperately waiting for your shield to recharge.
Then someone comes along and starts shooting at you, so you have no choice but to fight back. The second you swing your hammer you stand up, and Bastion riddles you with holes.
So you push Space to see what the fuck your team mates are doing, only to realise that now, NOW, they've decided to push the fucking payload but you're the only tank and you're dead.
I swear to god every single person playing Overwatch is on the same Skype group call sometimes, even the people supposedly on your side.

So you died as Reinhardt and thought well maybe it was your fault for not backing away when there is no one else there with you. Alright fine, this time you get to the corner/doorway before reaching to the payload and you make sure to yell group up to the team.
Oh sure they do follow up, but only like two of them showed up. God knows what the other three are even up to. You can't waste time any more and you inch forward. But it's no use, the enemy team is just shitting every single projectile they have at your shield and you have no choice but to back down.
At this point you just have to press TAB to see who the fuck is even on your team. There is that Mercy who's too busy sucking Reaper's dick the entire game. There is that Reaper who never attempts to flank and only stand near your team trying to take long ranged shots at the enemy team. There is that Widowmaker and Genji that have literally no impact in the current match to the point where you have to wonder if they are still playing or not.
Those are the moments when I just stop being Reinhardt.

There are times when Reinhardt is worth playing though. And it's always when you're bullying DVA, always. She's just so easy to charge into and she can't block your hammer swings. It's great!
Like, I was on Dorado as the defending team. I'm standing behind the payload as Reinhardt with my shield up, so if the enemy tries to push the payload it's automatically contested.
A DVA comes by, so I charge her. It's what I do.
But... we don't stop. We break through the railing on the side of the map and fall to our deaths. This is in the first 20 seconds of the game.
So we lost, of course. And I get play of the game. And to my astonishment, it's just me charging that DVA off the edge. Only two people died and one of them was me.
Why...? Whatever the reason, it was the funniest fucking thing.

As a Zenyatta player, I will melee before rounding a corner. Sometimes a Widowmaker will twich-shoot and try to shoot my foot as it pokes out, especially if they have their ultimate on and was expecting me to just walk out.
Sometimes they'd actually hit the foot and I'd die to a body shot, but fortunately that's not as much of an issue anymore.
