I'm playing through Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on PS4 right now and it fucking rocks. I love how it's 90% gunplay and shooting and the shooting itself is very fucking satisfying. The level design and world are also pretty damn fantastic. For me it's the best part of Uncharted 2 (the shooting) multiplied tenfold since the guns feel so good. I'm really enjoying this fucking game.
I haven't played pic related yet but I'm looking forward to it coming out on PS4. I'm wondering though, is it as good as its predecessor? Is it still mostly over the top gunplay and plenty of it or did they fuck it up and turn it into a movie like they did with Uncharted 4?

I own TR 2013 on PS4 and Rise on Xbone, Rise looks better and has some more environmental variety and a cooler setting in general but boy on Xbox One it plays way worse than 2013 did. There's a ton of input lag on the bone version, maybe it'll be fixed by the time it releases on PS4, as it's not an issue on the PC or Xbox 360 versions.

Absolutely. I've already done generic shooting in countless games and Uncharted doesn't do it any better. I've never experienced game set pieces or acting on the scale that the Uncharted games pulled it off. The shooting was repetitive as fuck and only got in the way of the good parts.
