If you're tlaking about Miyamoto cancelling their other projects and forcing them to work on only MP1, that just means they had super ADD but when forced to focus on one thing, they were absolutely brilliant at it.
MP3 was shit, yes, but honestly, it was probably more of a one-off thing. Things wouldn't have preceded in that direction probably if they'd actually made MP4 instead of DKC. They wanted to experiment with new ideas with each new game.
I still trust Retro with Metroid. Honestly for 3D Metroid, I'd want a more shaking up of the formula like BotW, but I still trust them with both 3D Metroid and even 2D Metroid.

DKCR is arguably the best game on the Wii and the best platformer Nintendo has put out since Super Mario Brothers 3. Even with its stupid motion controls, it has amazing level design, great graphics, memorable music, challenging boss fights, tons of secrets, and a hugely memorable selection of worlds.
Tropical Freeze, while not quite as good, is still up there and feature more great level design and a shitton of amazing music from David Wise.

Nah, TF was definitely better in every way, it just didn't have the same impact that DKCR did, due to it being kind of a safe sequel that a lot of people weren't clamoring for (their loss imo). DKCR kinda stole all the thunder since it was the first DKC game made in years. But TF is basically just DKCR but with some minor improvements here and there, superior level design, more imaginative environments, much better bosses, and much better music.

I don't know about that. The thing about DKC:TF is that the first half of the game is kind easy but the second more than makes up for it in terms of difficulty, not to mention the bonus levels are probably even more brutal than DKCR's. But even still, TF probably just seems easier because DKCR was itself a pretty hard game, so playing TF after that one forced you to git gud just makes TF seems easier than it really is.

I thought the bosses were definitely an improvement. DKCR's boss fights didn't do much for me at all but TF was easily a huge improvement in their design. More fun to fight, more 'tech' or hidden alternate ways to deal with them, better visual design, and just overall 'better'.
