Ace Combat Infinity is the best jet game because you can fly Idolmaster planes and trigger the shit out of people when you beat them.
MFSX is pretty neat.

1 is really primitive so you probably don't want to play it.
2 is also really primitive but it's better than 1 so maybe play it if you want.
3 is okay but the US release is shit and you don't know Japanese so skip it.
4 is good.
5 is bad but some people like it for some strange reason so maybe you would too?
0 is good.
6 is good but it's 360 only so you may not be able to play it.
Assault Horizon is fucking terrible, avoid avoid avoid.
Infinity is actually pretty good but it has a lot of terrible free to play elements that drag it down, and it's PS3 only so it might be hard to play.
X is alright but it's a handheld game so it has the compromises that come with that.
X2 is bad and has the same compromises as X, so avoid it.
Assault Horizon Legacy is alright but it has some dumb ideas and is a handheld game again.
I think that's all the ones worth mentioning.

Yeah, and awful writing, and awful voice acting, and huge amounts of wasted time in most missions where you just have to fly straight and listen to people talk, and bad AI, and barely any aces, and super heavy grind for planes. Aside from that it was okay I guess.

The problem is AC5 forces its terrible writing/acting on you. Like half the missions in the game have very long unskippable intros/outros where you can do nothing but listen to your squad talk.
