I just barely beat this game again on Dolphin. I haven't played through it since release. It amazes me how incomplete this entire production is. Sonic '06 is legitimately a more competent video game than this. Some characters don't use their talking animation when they talk, many destructible objects simply disappear when destroyed, and faulty collision detection makes platforming a roll of the dice. Conversations with NPCs take 7 years to start, and the only redeeming factor is Stewart Copeland's music, which serves as a reminder that you are playing a Spyro game, as the game itself is not good at doing this.
Cloud 9 and the Monk level are the only decent levels. I don't know what the fuck they were thinking with the barn level. It's ugly, needlessly massive, glitchy, and boring.

But you can tell Insomniac was kind of getting bored of it because they experimented too much with minigames in spyro 3.
