I don't think the resolution ever drops, the game just does a poor job of dealing with certain effects which makes things look blurry in specific instances. Mario Kart 8 has something similar going on. The real problem is the horrible fps drops the game gets when you're in your Skell, or the entire time you're in NLA after the first 30 hours.

I actually just finished xeno (just picked up a refurbished wii u for cheap recently) and wondering how it compares to bayonetta 2? I loved xeno and have heard good things about bayonetta.
I played the game for 3 weeks, no problems. I ond day fought a Tyrant who I fought many times before without a problem. Then one day during the fight with him the graphics got blurry as all fuck and a little pixelated. It happened every time I fought him, I stopped played the game after that.

The Wii U had a good collection of exclusives for Nintendo fans, and if you go back you'll see that the N64 and Gamecube suffered the same problems of short term support.

There are few songs that I like, some of them are shit and played constantly. The story is more cliche than the first game and not interesting. The only character I liked was Elma, all of them are pretty bland and forgetable.
I'm playing TMS now and having more fun than I thought, it has better music, story and characters than XCX.
That aside, this game has a great gameplay and world to explore, but after beating it on about 70 hours I completely lost the will to play it.

I've pretty much been using my skells as a crutch ever since I got em, thats the only thing I can think of that might be the problem.

I liked the game too but it is incredibly flawed. It practically screams "troubled development". It has huge problems gameplay-wise and story-wise. Everything it TRIED to do was either half-baked or ruined by other features.
Skells needed a power balance.
Flight mode should have been post-game, or only available after you had explored the whole map.
The online aspects shouldn't have existed.

I honestly don't know how to feel about Skells. They felt really strong at times, and I liked that. Then later in the game I turn into a fucking Jedi shitting out damage by using the Ramjet Rifle for tons of Overdrives and the Skell ended up just being a second lifeline.

There's a handful of small locations that you need to fly to reach, mostly for endgame content, but apart from that the game is actually pretty damn good at making sure almost everywhere you are going to need to go can be reached on foot.

I didn't use auto equip at first, but I started to once I realized how many party members there were.
I only really use Boze and Nagi now though, so it wouldn't be too hard to switch back. My only worry is that I have enemy weapon drops that have been piling up for 50+ hours that might be a pain to cycle through.

This is something I will never understand about the way some people play games. I play games in the way it's the most fun for me. I don't care what options are available, I just pick what is the funnest. If there is no fun option I don't play the game. It seems a lot of people around here need the devs to tell them exactly how to have fun and if the devs provide too many options people just throw up their hands and declare the game to be shit.

That's not an issue.
Characters get exp boosts when they kill an enemy above their level and there is also gear that provides more of an exp boost on top of that. You can catch people up really, really quickly.

I've found this mechanic to have little effect. Just donating miranium is faster and easier.
Besides, almost everyone starts off with Sakuraba gear and the guy isn't even paying attention to what he is equipping.

Celica and Mia join later, you get Celica's first affinity mission where she joins you after a certain story chapter and the quest where you get Mia is available after you survey 65% of cauldros, but you have to do Delfinian downfall first so most people leave it until post game
