Is this worth buying? Or should I wait?
yeah
>>342825232
Did you enjoy Blood Money?
If yes, get it.
If no, don't.
>>342825465
I really like Blood Money but Absolution was kind of disappointing. How does this compare?
>>342825523
I see. I guess it'll be a while until it's on sale right?
>>342825712
sure
>>342825232
Its ok but the AI is fucking garbage... Even blood moneys AI was better.
>>342825232
Don't know.
There's only one actually good map.
Paris is meh, it's just a mansion, and Muslim-land is boring as fuck.
Who knows about future maps.
>>342825538
Its pretty much absolution trying to be blood money. It still has some of the annoying shit that absolution had but it plays more like blood money did. I don't think its worth full price but its not terrible, wait for it to go on sale.
>>342826329
Paris is the best map in the series, Sapienza is also in top 5.
Doesn't this have some really obnoxious always-online DRM?
>>342826492
Yes, which baffles me considering they said the DRM would only be in the beta.
>>342826417
well you can get it on GMG with the 20% off but idk if that's still too many dollarydoos
>>342825232
Any reason to why it isn't reduced in the steam sale?
It was the only thing I was tempted by.
>>342826629
>3 suits
>only difference is the tie
>>342826417
>Its pretty much absolution trying to be blood money
This is misleading. There are similar mechanics to Absolution, but it is hardly like it enough to compare it as being 'absolution'.
>>342825232
It really depends on how eager you are for some more Hitman. If so, by all means but it does feel like the episodic structure really leaves you unsatisfied by the slow release of content.
>>342826681
>>342825232
When it's complete, otherwise you'll only replay the same 3 maps over and over again and get bored before the other content is released.
well I bought it
>>342825232
Wait until it's really out.
I love the gameplay, but all this corporate jewry around it is really bullshit.
>>342826742
Yet people have been going apeshit over how cool some fucking gloves are. Makes me understand how microtransactions are profitable if people give this many shits about cosmetics.
>>342827838
If I waited until all the episodes were out, I probably wouldn't have replayed missions just to see the ridiculous ways to kill the targets but that's just me.
I will be purchasing the physical copy when it does come out, just for support of a decent gamethat needs a sequel.
>>342826681
If they could give us his blood money face with it...
If you're a big Contracts and Blood Money fan, then it's a given you should buy this.
>tfw theres only going to be 6 levels in total
>>342829331
They're huge and replayable though
I want to hold off until I can 1. play the full thing and 2. when the full thing is on sale.
Just worried when it finally comes out on disc in 2017 it will still be $60 for the same time it takes a just released AAA game to drop in price.
>>342829425
While might be true, six levels still on the too little side of things. Should've been about eight desu.
>>342829331
7 actually.
>It's not on sale
Really sucks
>>342829734
Well, it's actually 10 levels total, m8. The 2 tutorial levels, the 6 main levels and the 2 extra levels.
>>342829598
>Just worried when it finally comes out on disc in 2017 it will still be $60 for the same time it takes a just released AAA game to drop in price.
That would be smart of them to do. If they start going on sales before the game is even finished, they're fucked 2bh.
>>342829331
they said there will be a season 2.
>>342830613
Oh yeah I don't expect sales now I just wish it was like $40 or so when the full thing comes out because some of the game has been out for almost a year. They might cut the price though if no one is buying the full thing cause they already got it episodically.
Either way even if there plan is to reduce the price some they aren't going to announce it now cause it goes along with what you mentioned.
>That horrible feeling when you missed one of the elusive targets because of poor communication
>>342826629
>vampir
>absolution
>47
>blood money
>requiem
>Pitbull
>>342831118
is this included of price for full game?
is this the new episode?
https://youtu.be/Sx6l3GbdqPo
Episode 4? Because its literally just a re-skin of Sapienza & Marakesh..
While I dont mind more sapienza goodness does this mean no new levels for a month?
>>342832245
It actually means no new levels for two months, considering there was no episode released in June and that's coming out in July.
Makes sense to me, let the dudes work on the levels. Marrakesh felt rushed.
>>342831790
Probably not.
>>342832245
I feel like IO is doing they best under constant pressure and poor working conditions to deliver the content as it should be.
At least Square didn't let them deliver a piece of shit thinking it would sell, and let them delay/change to an episodic format with some additions for community gaming.
Not like I enjoy it all, but as a great game designer said "it's better than nothing".
The way I figure they wanted to make Hitman become their third main franchise and sell it like it was some Call of duty or shit, and have one each year from various devs.
how big are the maps?
bigger than any blood money map?
>>342833215
Generally big, but not massive. On average, they're generally larger than Blood Money maps.
>>342833454
come to think of it, it was a dumb question, because blood money's maps weren't particularly big, but it's good to know they're big.
i really want to get my money's worth if i'm paying full price for this when it comes out in retail
>>342833682
apparently you can just by the intro pack & pirate the other levels since the DRM is activated only by the intro pack. But then you'd be missing out on the elusive targets, but it'd still be fine by itslef
>>342832245
No, that's just bonus levels. The next proper episode will be Thailand.
>>342833215
They're larger than BM and more open than BM.
>>342825232
Wait until the full release. You will get all the content and all the updates and patches at a discount. Then it will be worth it.
