The head of Tingle's Tower in The Wind Waker was originally some kind of art gallery that you could walk into. But it might not have been his, because Knuckle's statue mentions that he had an art gallery.

This is the only thing found on the disk left of it. The repeating texture is named something like "themaningreen."

Not sure if it qualifies but the halo games have a ton of shit in them that aren't significant if you don't read the books.

Like this room in Halo 2's High Charity mission has these crystal shards hanging on the ceiling. If you read First Strike, you'd know they were pieces of the glass from all the planets the covenant glassed from orbit.

You should read up on all the shit Halo 2 had cut; They had to scrap the entire game 2 years into development and made what got shipped in under 9 months, like 60% of what was in halo 3 was just stuff supposed to be in Halo 2.

It was almost the death of Bungie and the studio almost closed due to how sick and tired all of the devs were by the end of it.

I don't buy this. modern kirby games have needlessly complex movesets for each ability anyways, so 1 ability alone has like 10+ different functions, wheras in crystal shards, each ability did only 1 thing.

You could have like 50+ combinations with 1 function and it'd be as much work as what they did for return to dreamland or triple deluxe, and you never used 99% of the different functions anyways so having only 1 per combination would be fine

Favorite "lost content" has to be the enormous heap of content that is the HL2 beta leak. It was literally a whole other game. A real pain in the ass to actually make the levels playable in any state, but it's still a blast to browse with the model viewer and cruise around the 100s WIP .vmf files in Hammer. Biggest problem is almost all the cut Wind Waker content was repurposed for later games, so they would've had to come up with something completely new, which wasn't in the cards for WWHD. WWHD was never intended to be a remake, just a quick remaster to tide fans over until BotW and for the developers to get used to HD development.

In Twilight Princess HD, in the Temple of Time is a sign with some Hylian jargon on it.
The main message is just alphabet fragments, but the bottom of the frame reads "Jack Kirby Crosby made this" backwards.

Jack Crosby was employed by Tantalus Media as a graphical leader as I recall.

Long ago, Sega Pro included a demo version of Keio Flying Squadron for the Mega CD (aka Sega CD)

The game would end with the first level, but did include the full game on the disc.

Hilariously, you didn't even need a cheat device, there was a level select code intact in the demo so all you had to do was play from the second level to enjoy the full game.

Sega Pro magazine never shared this cheat code in their publication, but their competitors did.
