The pushback is its main purpose, Roadhog's ult doesn't do much damage unless you're at close range, so it's meant for clearing objectives and setting up for ult synergy. Bastion's has a degree of pushback just like all explosives do, but it's so powerful that it'll just outright kill most characters with a direct shot.

Sometimes you get stomped, then put in a "more balanced" game or something and then do the stomping yourself.
Just today we got our shit pushed in on Anubis on defense, then we pushed their shit in right after that, still with the same players on my team, but different ones on the other.
Only once in a while there are pretty even matches where both teams seem to be made of competent players.

Zenyatta is pure shit and should be an attacking character with more basic damage and then his heal as a side thing. Lucio is like a poor mans version of mercy hes good because you dont have to focus on healing but if you actually know how to play mercy and arent a fucking idiot who only heals the tank the entire match you can just switch characters you need to heal as needs be and be much more effective.
Current patch mercy is top dog.

You can't win all the time. Losing is part of the game too, and it's a better game for everyone if everyone gets to experience a win. It means players that aren't so good will get the chance to get better, to get that satisfying feeling of victory that encourages them to keep playing and eventually turns them in to lifelong players.
Stacked teams is one of the major aspects of the game that murdered TF2 being fun. They've tried to fix it while maintaining a "lax" feeling and ultimately failed. Factor in the unlimited access for all aspect, and you've got yourself a dead game of shitters who don't care about it. It's sort of the same system, except everyone's an idiot with 1-2 decent players on their time, creating balance. I'd rather have 3-5 good players and 1-3 bad players per team for consistent quality.
It's unfortunate that shitters ruin every online game they touch, but I'd rather that be the case than have to deal with overly coordinated tryhard nobodies when I'm just trying to have a regular ol' match.
