People dying all over the place with you being mostly powerless to stop it
All the antagonist are fucking THREATENING especially that monkey holy fuck
Little to no handholding at all - if you're stumped you're fucked
The bosses aren't so "shoot the eyeball 3 times"

Alundra 2 is a lot more kid friendly in every sense, but later puzzles/optional puzzles still are hard as fuck.
I love the game to death, even if it was less accepted than the first one.
