It's also the only game I've ever seen where it's so poorly coded that to compensate for how badly it's running they used a variable resolution, and even then you get fps drops well below 20 fps when nothing is even happening.

That vid literally shows the same 2-3 areas from different camera angles all from early parts of the game around Leide and Duscae, one of which is a wasteland desert and the other which is the outback grass plains in the middle of nowhere, two areas which are designed to look that way because that is how they would be like in real life too. Meanwhile the footage of Lestallum and Altissia look more dense than anything I've seen from Horizon. XV feels like an actual world. There's hours of FFXV footage and most of that comprises of those two areas you described that are extremely generic. The towns could be good. Although it doesn't help that the game isn't truly open-world and all these areas will be segmented by loading screens.

He's talking about narrative structure in that sentence in that it's not like Skyrim where you go off doing whatever you want, but that there is a set story you follow but you can still go off the beaten path and whatever open worldness is in the game was build around the story to allow it as much as possible. In that it's similar to RDR open world structure instead of something like Skyrim.

It is the Japanese coverart and it looks great, one of the most original styled JRPG boxarts yet and also fits both the theme of the game and references the SBM cover, which XV also uses stand by me too. The boxart is reversible too with just the logo on the other side.

They're not, though. The combos flow differently. That's why each clip in that webm is only of one or two attacks. They lose sync if you stayed on them longer.

Considering Lestallum is in the same area that we see them flying the car yes. The only thing they said though is that you need to land the car on roads. For something like Altissia there is no roads only water so you'll probably have to land outside the city.

Yes, you can start with any FF because they are all self contained. Although most FFs use menu based combat, two of them are MMOs while XV is the first main series action RPG.
