It was really fun starting new characters on expert mode with my friends. Holing up at night because we couldn't fight regular zombies was pretty amusing. I remember how accomplished we felt when we killed the Eye of Cthulhu. It all seems so far away since we've killed the moon lord many times now.

I enjoyed the less realistic world builder it had. The fun times I had finding a strange looking mountain or floating piece of rock were great and had a sense of wonderment and adventure. And the caves were huge and winding all on their own, I was constantly getting lost.
Online usually devolves into speedrunning, item greed, and some faggot joining with his endgame character and just tears apart the server.
