I'm thinking of buying it on PS4. I'm mostly only looking for a multiplayer I can just jump into after work

It's alright, it ain't GOTYAY or anything, it's just Call of Duty: Another One.
nuketown is literally the only good map in multiplayer
campaign is boring even for cod standards
shadows of evil is a really bad zombies map (but Der Esiendrache, The Giant, and Zetsubou No Shima are really fun)
multiplayer is okay, don't even think about playing the campaign though. Its like the Autism awareness foundation tried to rewrite Ghost in the Shell

It's the best cod to come out since bo2.
The movement isn't too crazy like advance warfare, nor is the game too slow like ghost, it's perfect.
Also i think this was the first major hero shooter on the market, the specialist are actually a lot of fun, the only negative is they added microtransactions like 3 months in.
The game is really pretty, plays well, fast and fun, if it's like 30-40$ i'd say it's worth getting.

it's the only map in which you won't spend half the time running without fighting an enemy and it's the only map on which submachine guns, assault rifles, shotguns, lmgs, and snipers are fully viable options to do well. every other map in the game is built for SMGs only.

CoD players are a funny bunch, if the game stays the same they'll complain that it didn't change enough and if they do change somethingsuch as the movementthey'll complain that they changed too much. There is literally no pleasing them. Any money that if CoD did the same as Battlefield and made a WW1 game everyone would complain about the lack of attachments and shit.

they don't really know how to handle the advanced movement though. advanced warfare was a clunky bounce-house and black ops 3 is basically just wall running, there's forcefields everywhere and you can't actually use your jetpacks to get you anywhere. the titanfall series does all this but way better because it's cod's gunplay but with proper fast movement and giant mechs everywhere that actually change the gameplay.
but a lot of the problem is that it's a yearly series. you literally cannot have a yearly series that doesn't get stale, regardless of what you do with it. they can make all of the surface level changes they want to, it won't change the fact that everyone is really exhausted with cod.
Played it for the first time last night, it's pretty solid I guess, but remember it's still cod. Nothing really special about it
Yes, the multiplayer is fun and has a lot of content, the campaign/zombies are a bonus if you have friends to play with.
The biggest offense is how shit sidearms are in this game, when all of them except the Executioner were fucking based in BO2. Made getting Dark Matter a fucking nightmare.
