Why are women bad at literally everything?
>>
What kind, budget, powerful,, amd, Intel, nvidia?
>>

>dat soldering iron hold.
>soldering a motherboard.
>soldering a motherboard on that side.

You can also tell a woman took the picture, because any male would know you don't holding a soldering iron there.
>>
I had more fun building my arcade stick out of some old 3rd party 360 controller. Learning to solder sucked. I have big meaty claws.
>>
>>342719851

It's not even women, it's literally just a stock photoshoot with an actor that doesn't know how to use a soldering iron. you may as well pick up equally as much on the cameraman who didn't pick up on it, or the scene director or whatever they're called who thought that is what it was supposed to look like

If you want to build a gaming PC, you should probably ask questions like what your budget is and what circumstances and shit do you need it to fit. Like do you need a laptop or a desktop? Do you already have monitors and peripherals or do you need those to? You should also take into account your own ability, building a PC isn't hard but some people can be really afraid of getting involved in the internals of a computer, but there is a huge amount of resources online if you're never put one together before.

As for what parts you should get, I don't know if it's still favored by /g/ or they've moved onto something else, but I'd recommend the logical increments guide. They sort the parts into the best option at each budget.

It might help to know not to hold a soldering iron by the heating element. Melted fingers don't look so great in photos.
Also to know that you don't solder from the top of the goddamn board.
Also that you don't need goggles for soldering but should probably be wearing ant static
Maybe don't have a woman do these things either.

To those saying she's soldering the wrong part of the motherboard, no she's not.

If you have to re-attached a MOSFET transistor, or several other parts, you do it from the top and not from the bottom.

She is holding the soldering iron like a retard though, but it's a stock photo so she was directed by someone else to hold it like that, probably because it looks better than holding it at the far end.

>>
>>342721086
I just got done with my first build last week and I can share some of my personal fears and general NO DONT DO THAT's of building that I experienced.

1. Know what you're building it for.

Gaming? video editing/rendering? music creation?

all of the parts you choose will be tailored to what you need to do.

Example: Gaming? get a good video card and some mid tier I5 processor because games don't tax a CPU that much.

2. Learn about all of the parts in detail. Understanding what does what can save you money in the long run because you aren't buying unnecessary BS.

3. PUTTING IN A CPU THE FIRST TIME IS SCARY AS FUCK. I PROMISE YOU. The amount of pressure needed to close the latch to the cpu cover is fucking terrifying. You will feel like you are breaking it, but you're not.

4. Google retard tier shit like "What make cpu good" and plenty of forums will answer your undying questions.

5. The actual build part isn't difficult. Just plug in the components and wires properly. The most difficult thing is probably putting in an aftermarket CPU fan. Which isn't that hard.

6. You want to set your motherboard on fire? Touch the battery. I dare you.

7. Install your OS to an SSD. Lightning start up speed.

FX is a dead-end, there will be no more CPU's for that socket (AM3+) and you will have to replace the whole motherboard and RAM (supports only ddr3) when upgrading from that.

Either get a Skylake i3/i5 or wait for AMD's zen.

Get rx480 for the GPU.
