I know other anons have had the same experience as me. When I first played KS, it really opened me up to the fact that disabled people have a story that usually involves a lot of suffering. I always knew this was the case, but I never really thought about it too deeply. But from that day forth I looked at all people, not just people with a handicap, with a new sort of compassion, and since then have never had nearly as much bitter cynicism I had beforehand.

Already played through every route ~3 times and still considering playing it again sometime soon. It's so rare to find writing that good in VNs.

I've played them. Look for the hanalily update, unless there's a more recent one out.
They're way darker, but also less nuanced. 4 new routes in total (Hanako, Hanako, Lilly, Shizune), and they're all worth playing if you're craving more KS. Expect a surprising amount of insanity, death, and suffering. Also, Lilly's alpha route goes on for AGES.

Her alpha route has lots of choices, fucking Misha doesn't affect the overarching plot, and the final arcs are way more tragic.
She's less of a bitch in her alpha route too, which is good, but her deafness isn't really used as cleverly in the writing either.
