All right Symmetra players. Got some real bullshit advice for you.
On Dorado on either Defense or Attack (better on Defence) there is a white bridge between the second and third checkpoint. Now one of the sides of this bridge (possibly both) actually has a big chunk of space between the wall and the actual bridge itself underneath. It's like the bridge model is supposed to reach the wall but it DOESN'T. You can actually stick all 6 of her turrets on here high enough up between the wall and bridge that it's virtually impossible for the enemy to shoot at the right angle to take them down without a cordinated effort. The only way they can get by is either with cordination with a Winston or Reinheart or by hiding in the other side of the payload. If you have even a decent defensive core outside in the court behind this bridge it makes it really hard to get passed this point. Best part? The turrets shoot through the bridge bottom AND top and can kill enemies above too. You'll be sending the entire enemy team through the car wash.

I used to utterly hate her because all the useless players would flock to her and we'd be down a teammate.
But now they seem to flock to Hanzo and most of the Symmetra's I've played with have been ok. So I don't mind her as much, but I still think she's one of the more underwhelming characters to have on your team.

You use them in areas where they work great, like on the map Anubis the first entrance point on the right side flanking entrance.
Place 2 in each corner and then place one or 2 in the next room where you will stay spamming RMB balls through the hallway basically denying the flankroute for anyone who wants to pass through there and beam them if they want to pass through while the turrets focus on them aswel. You dont just place them and then run away somewhere else leaving the turrets there. I've played Symmetra 3 times, and all 3 times I got gold eliminations and damage done, and one of those games got POTG chasing niggas around with my tickle beam being turned up to not so ticklish anymore.
I think a part of my success has been the lack of turret nests. I dont put my turrets in one cramped space, I just throw them up anywhere the current fight is happening and usually they wrack uo huge damage on enemies who didnt see me building a turret right beside them while their distracted.

We wrecked on defense on route 66 one time with a good teammates and a symmetra. Damn that guys teleporter placement is so damn satisfying that whenever the enemy moving the payload closer to the first point, everybody that died literally teleported back to the battle and the enemies cant find the teleporter

If you get Hanamura attack you could just leave.
Honestly the best way to deal with it is use a DVa and just jet through one of the windows, clear out the inevitable turret, jet back. Then jet back over after a heal and clear out anything near the point with an ult. If your team has anything close to a brain it should be pretty simple to take the point by then.
The second point just comes down to taking the balcony. Trying to enter through the front or the side is generally a waste of time. You try to kill a couple of them at once while your dumbass teammates stagger die over and over. If you're lucky they'll run in right as you pick off one of their Bastions or Torbs.

Her sentries are awesome and her teleporter can make or break a game but as far as her gun goes and her role as "support" she's a bit lacking to the other three. But that's only in comparison to the other supports which, in my eyes, she's more of a defensive character with her teleporter being a utility.

Because she's niche as fuck. She's good on defense, and she's less-than-stellar on offense. The only really good thing about her is her teleporter, and while she can do considerable damage, you're just as well off to pick a character with more consistently high DPS, better range, and more versatility. Her turret nests seem like a one-trick pony, because once someone finds it, they'll either take it down, or just ignore it, and given the severe lack of distance on them, it is arguable that the team would simply be better off with another Torbjorn.
Maps like Hanamura and Temple of Anubis are perfect examples of why she is so niche. Once the enemy team takes the first point, your defensive spawn point is basically right behind the second point, rendering the teleporter nearly pointless. It would be a benefit in such a situation to just use someone else.
Also, she's Indian, and shits in the open street like a fucking savage.
