Have a God teir multiplayer pitting 16vs16 mech combat. Have side contracts that get procedurally crated to add unique missions and keep the game fresh while not progressing in the story

Just because they've done it for years doesn't mean that they've perfected it.
The souls series still has a lot of flaws that aren't going to be fixed regardless of how long Fromsoft develops them and they don't even always carry over the good lessons they should've learned from game to game.
Their last game was DaS3 and it's still very unpolished with adjustments tier patchnotes etc.
And really none of their games can lay claim to having perfected the souls formula as opposed to just being what is probably the best current incarnation due to poor competition.
If they create something non-souls they could at least strike lucky as opposed to being stuck in this niche until someone finally makes a 3D souls-like game that doesn't suck.

It doesn't have to be literally in India, it just has to be an India inspired souls game, in the same way things in past souls games are inspired by other places, like Norse lore. Morrowind is one of the most acclaimed RPG's of all time and one of the few games who's world is inspired by India, you can do so much with the setting because it's almost completely untapped that you can create an original setting with ease, but even if you directly pulled places from India's past in the game the plebs giving you most of the money wouldn't even know, they don't matter.
