This game clearly isn't meant to be realistic or historically accurate.
With that in mind, it seems strange that they'd remove this one specific fantasy element. Maybe they felt it was just too jarring? I mean, there were hardly any blacks fighting in the situations they're depicted in - but they could have been, they're just as combat capable as whites(see Detroit, modern Africa) where as female frontline soldiers in such a physical war is a tad more unbelievable.

The problem with armored trains was that the tracks could be destroyed at both ends, essentially trapping an extremely valuable piece of machinery in enemy territory. The opposing force then wouldn't even have to fight it, just stay out of range and wait for the war to end.

I would feel uneasy about shooting anyone in the face. This is a video game though and I feel nothing. I would gleefully blow a woman's head off with a trench gun or do one of those bayonet takedowns from the trailer. Its not real dude.
