I USED TO BE AN ADVENTURER LIKE YOU
but then I realised just how shallow and lifeless the world of Skyrim is and played Oblivion instead. Unfortunately even that is pretty lifeless now.

because oblivion couldn't have been remastered, it'd need a full remake. todd's already confirmed that they're working on TES 6. they don't have time to do a full remake of a game, that'd put off TES 6 for even longer than it already is.
also, part of the reason they remastered skyrim was to expand their library of games with console mods. skyrim currently has the most active mod community of basically any game on the market, so it's an obvious choice.
