How was it?
>>
>>342648802
i liked it
>>
Without humans: 9/10
With humans: 4/10
>>
First half was okay, minus all the lore changes that made no sense. Second half was shit with awful decisions regardless of adhering to the original story.
>>
>>342648802
It was good.

They tried to cram too much story into 2 hours so the pacing was pretty bad. But I still liked it.
>>
No clue, do not dare to waste 2 hours of my life. Not giving that faggot director any money.
>>
>>342649220
I thought a majority of the lore changes were better.

The only one I didn't like was that they made Orgrim a Frostwolf instead of a Blackrock
>>
>>342648802
It was decent, and for a video-game adaptation that's insanely good.
There might be a sequel as well since it sold extremely well over-seas.
>>
>>342649446
lol :^)
>>
>>342649669
He insulted Tolkien, fuck him.
>>
>>342649124
Truth.
>>
It was enjoyable.
>>
It was a pretty good bad movie.
>>
>>342649470
they mentioned blackrock in the movie. I just assumed the movie made them allies while the other clans sided with Gul'dan and went green.

but then at the end yeah youre right, they pretty much just made him one.
>>
Better then I expected.

Still not great, but was ok.
>>
Worse than this
>>
It was shit.

Imagine a movie which properly introduced Durotan following his time with his white wolf and mother asleep in the snow.

Imagine that story told alongside the story of that draenei paladin bloke as the orcs commit genocide on the last of his people, before he came to Azeroth to warn and advise the humans.

This movie would not only emotionally invest the audience in Durotan, an orc, but also the gravity of the conflict with the orcish horde, via the Draenei genocide.
We also get a great deal of lore in how the world travelling works, why the frost wolf clan do not go berserk like the other orcs, even why Durotan wears the white wolf pelt.

Now imagine a movie where a sassy human/orc hybrid who miraculously speaks English leads a band of autistic humans on a quest of desperately forced emotional nonsense, with every moment is an impossible contrivance.

Which one do you think we got?
>>
>>342648802

Seen it in IMAX. Enjoyed it.

If they tried to cut LoTR down into a 1h40m it would probably seem just as incoherent. Acting is... cringey at times but with that script and spending 98% of your time in front of a green screen it's excusable.
>>
>>342650905

Imagine a movie that's an hour and a half long. Now imagine one that lasts 3 hours.
>>
>>342648802
diverged from the real story too much for me to like it.
>>
I know nothing about Warcraft and only gained entertainment when Orcs were on screen
>>
>>342650905
What you described wouldn't sell. We need big epic battles and cheesy, generic bullshit that idiot moviegoers will immediately recognize so they know what they're spending their money on.
>>
Orcs were really cool

Humans were meh but acceptable

Not the movie of the year, but still worth the watch
>>
>>342650905

The first one?
>>
Like a bad porno
>>
>>342649124
this is why i didn't watch it. I don't like when 90% of the movie is CGI and have real people. it just looks cheesy
>>
>>342651061
The scene where Durotan stays behind in the snow to wait for his mother to wake up could fit inside a TV episode.
It is just a perfect way to get through a lot of orc lore whilst emotionally investing the audience in Durotan, the frost wolves and the Orcs in general.
The Draenei story can easily be made similarly short but interlacing montage throughout the Durotan story before telling the final moments of the paladins story as he leads the refuges from the city, abandons them to kill that orc, assuming they are safe, and returns to find them dead and his people extinct, the light in his paladin hammer going out.

Then the movie could end with the Draenei travelling to Azeroth, warning the humans while a grown up Durotan leads his clan as the Orcs prepare to once again travel to another world.

That is a tight as fuck ~2 hour movie that actually tells an engaging story and sets up the gravity of the upcoming orcish invasion spectacularly.

Duncan's a bit of a fag to be honest. The movie was a decent adaptation though. Gul'dan was great.

Terrible.
>>
>>342651303
Durotan going rage and slaying everything around him counts towards the battle quota.

Most of the Draenei stuff would have to be battle, or frantic discussion by leaders during battle.
With the paladin defeating that orc leader as the climax, making for a pretty badass scene.

It could work spectacularly.

The CGI is the best I've ever seen, and it blends together decently with the human actors. The human actors are all awful dogshit. A lot of the actors look like discount versions of more famous and capable actors(Lother looking like the bastard child of Channing Tatum and Leonardo Dicaprio, Khadgar looks like discount Michael Pena, Lady Taria looks like discount Rashida Jones, etc) and they all just fucking suck. I can sit through hours of shitty Syfy movies like Sharkando, Sharktopus and Honey I Sharked the Kids and none of it will amount to how poor every live performance was.

Garbage.
It's a fucking videogame movie.

Sure, if you are an easily impressionable 10 year old, i'm sure it was cool as sh*t and epic as f*ck.
>>
>>342648802
I would've preferred a movie about Garithos
