EXPLAIN TO ME WHY YOU ARE STILL BUYING PHYSICAL GAMES, ANON. WHAT IS YOUR EXCUSE?
>>
I don't. I sold every physical game I got last year, waste of space.
>>
>>342637524

>Walks into EB Games
>Fallout 4 $35
>Connects to PSN
>Fallout 4 $59.99

You tell me why i should buy digital, shit brick?

The only time I buy digital games on consoles is if its cheaper than the disc version

On PC I buy almost everything digital nowadays unless there's a decent CE for the game
>>
Because:
They are cheaper.
Can be sold later on.
Look nice on a shelf.
Are always there whereas digital can be erased and lost.
Don't have the storage space on my system for them.

Just to name a few reasons.
>>
>>342639091
Mon Igger.
>>
>>342637524
No high speed internet.
>>
I'm a materialistic person
>>
Because I'm trapped with shit tier internet speeds

Careless and stupid.

Trade in value.

Wouldn't this mean he's rich because he has so many games they take up too much space?

25 at my GameStop
>>
>>342641278
It means he couldn't afford more hard drives.
>>
>>342641148
found the summerfag.

Physical media is superior to digital. This has been proven since the creation of the earth 4,016 years ago.
>>
>>342637524
I bought all my music digitally college. Then zune shut down and I dont have access to any of it.

It will happen to Steam.
>>
>>342641148
>"I need to prove him wrong or else I'll look as a retarded."
>>
Because I like actually owning my games.
>>
Because I like owning my shit instead of a license that can be revoked at any time.

Also
> Almpst always cheaper (here in Australia were digital stores price gouge to the extreme, especially steam)
> Looks nice
> download speeds mean digital games take all night to download (thanks NBN, it used to take 5 nights)

>
>>
>>342641524
>>342641543
Discs need the license too. Also almost every game gets patches or day one fixes. If online ever goes down and you don't have the game installed anymore the physical copy is a paperweight.
>>
>>342637524
>tfw don't even have that many games but I'm almost out of hard drive space on my PS4
>Even the games I own physically somehow manage to have 40+ GB installs on the HD

This isn't good.
>>
>>342641148
Nice b8, OP!
>>
>>342641781
so if i put my game into an offline system, the system uses magic to detect that an update is needed before running the game, but there's no internet connection so i can't play?
>>
>>342637524
Why are you still buying psychical books?
>>
Because I can trade them
>>
>>342641995
No, the game is literally broken in the worst case and will experience glitches otherwise. Take shit like the witcher where entire fucking quests needes to be fixed.
>>
>>342642086
*physical
>>
I'm not a huge gamer anymore, but I don't even know where my old n64, ps1, ps2 and xbox games are.

I don't have to worry about any of that with my steam account.
>>
>>342641148
> it's not ok to save money

I bet you drink "smart" water
>>
>>342642086
There is s difference between reading books on a kindle vs physical copy. Playing games that were digital downloads vs physical media installs have no fucking difference.
>>
>>342641148
>Poorfag.
wew just wait until you start making your own money instead of spending your parents' and see how much you want to flush it down the toilet
>>
>>342642183
worst case scenario for a physical game when online services are down: can't patch it, have to play it as it was released
worst case scenario for a digital licence when online services are down: no service, no game
>>
>>342642183
Yeah ok. I'll take your hypothetical idea with a grain of salt.

Other games are fine on launch.
>>
>>342642356
This, the only reasoning that even comes close in this scenario is buying books online vs buying them in a bookstore.

Because I don't trust digital games.

I bought infamous and Little big planet on PS3 awhile back off of the PSN store. Everything was cool at first, but a couple weeks later, I tried to start them up, but it said that I didn't own them. Well, that's fucking weird. So i deleted them so I could redownload them from the store, but it was only prompting me to buy them again. I contacted Playstation support and they told me to take a picture of the games on my console but they were deleted. So that was the end of that.

Fuck digital.

BECAUSE I LIKE TO TOUCH THE BOXES YOU FUCK NOOT NOOT
>>
>>342637524
WiiU and 3DS have jack shit internal memory.
>>
>>342642446
Yes, but there have been cases where as released meant it was too fucked up and required a day one patch. This will only get worse probably.
>>
>>342637524
Because they are most often cheaper than digital and at worst the same price, and I will have free access to them far longer than someone who bought the digital likely will while also retaining the ability to resell.

Also, far less time to install a game to my ps4 than download it from psn.
>>
Buy everything physical on consoles, pirate everything on PC, unless it has denuvo.

I wish we didn't have to rely on steam
>>
>>342642183
Still haven't updated Witcher, haven't fun into a single problem whatsoever and I've near 100% the base game.

same reason i buy dvds: i like to have the physical good
>>
>>342642762
You can just buy bigger SD cards for 3DS, and those are cheap as hell. Wii U has absolutely no excuse, though. Whoever thought an 8 gig hard drive that you can't replace was acceptable needs to be shot.
>>
Because I don't fall for the digital license jew. Sony can't revoke game ownership of physical titles but they can digital if they decide to.
>>
>>342642587
why didn't you take a picture of, oh I don't know, your transaction history or credit card statement?
>>
>>342643980
Why should he have to do that? With physical you buy and your good.
>>
>>342637524
Resell????
>>
>>342637524
Because when my internet goes down, I won't lose my entire library.
Also, Devs can't take the game away from me, looking at you Blizzard.
>>
>>342643856
Well i did buy a bigger SD cards but i don't want to be paying more money for memory if i can avoid it.
>>
>>342637524
got them as a gift
>>
>>342646692
>digital stuff can't be offline
>>
>>342637524
I don't anymore but I wish I could, it was fun collecting cases and could go look at them sometimes when i'm bored also DRM on disc is basically impossible for manufacturers to enforce unlike Steam where they can ban you at anytime for some bullshit locking you out of hundreds or thousands of dollars of stuff you bought.
>>
>>342646883
>Play Skyrim in offline mode
>Power outtage
>Restart desktop
>Steam must update before I can launch
Happens more often than you think
>>
>>342647151
I see. See I don't do Steam, not sure why people want to have their games tied to some online service.
>>
>>342641148
This is it. The most retarded post of the month.
