Discs need the license too. Also almost every game gets patches or day one fixes. If online ever goes down and you don't have the game installed anymore the physical copy is a paperweight.

I bought infamous and Little big planet on PS3 awhile back off of the PSN store. Everything was cool at first, but a couple weeks later, I tried to start them up, but it said that I didn't own them. Well, that's fucking weird. So i deleted them so I could redownload them from the store, but it was only prompting me to buy them again. I contacted Playstation support and they told me to take a picture of the games on my console but they were deleted. So that was the end of that.

Because they are most often cheaper than digital and at worst the same price, and I will have free access to them far longer than someone who bought the digital likely will while also retaining the ability to resell.
Also, far less time to install a game to my ps4 than download it from psn.

You can just buy bigger SD cards for 3DS, and those are cheap as hell. Wii U has absolutely no excuse, though. Whoever thought an 8 gig hard drive that you can't replace was acceptable needs to be shot.
