Why the fuck am I getting matched with rookies and semi-pros all of a sudden?
It's not really fun to play against the opponents who are weaker than you
Does no one play it on /v/?
The issue is their status can be Rookie, Master, or Legend and they can still have no idea how to play the game. Randoms matches are filled with ball chasers and people who generally can't think even one step ahead.

Also, I played the first 10 matches in the Competitive, won 7 of 10, still got put in the lowest possible division
That division is still full of both masters / experts and rookies.

Master, semi-pro and veteran and all that are labels given for playtime. While their ranks were reset, their playtime wasn't. So they're still technically "masters".

Im Expert and Im still unranked currently (been too busy with work/life). That label doesn't matter mate, everyone has to crawl back up to the top.

I think the game needs a better tutorial, like I not even lvl 10, and I hit the ball maybe once every minute or twice at most, and everyone seems to be some fucking brazilian soccer star compared to me, I don't know what the hell I thought I was good at videogames but this shit is impossible.

Do not rush to the ball.
Always try thinking one step ahead, where the ball will be a couple of seconds later based on where the opponent might kick it
Try playing in the defense a couple of matches, hanging around your own half and kicking the ball only when it comes to you from the opponent's side to see what I'm talking about.

I found playing 2v2 bot matches helped me as you get to practice without pissing people off. You're only level 10 though, at this point you're just focusing on actually hitting the ball.
