The long dark is pretty ok IMO. It doesn't have a story mode or anything yet, but the sandbox is pretty fun. There's a bit of a learning curve to deal with at the begining since so many things, including the wind and tearing a piece of cloth can affect your survivability.

I own both, but I've put way more hours into Mad Max. They both have a similar combat system, and they both primarily take place inside a vehicle. In Batman, your vehicle is OP, but you can't really kill anyone. The controls aren't the best, and really in the end all you're doing is racing against the clock
In Mad Max, you have to build your car from the ground up, but driving and vehicular combat is MUCH more satisfying. Plus, the story is good up until the endthe same could be said for Batman I guess
