I would really like an open world game that is contained to a small but detailed world
>>342612468
I agree.
>>342612468
An open world murder mystery like Pathologic would be pretty cool on that Island
>>342612468
tfw i live near that place

castlevania: sotn
>>342612468
Gothic and Gothic 2 with the expansion are literally and objective perfect. Even the admittedly odd control scheme is pretty decent at worst when you get used to it.

The fact that you walk so slowly makes the world huge.
>>342612764
it's St-Michel mount, a pretty place in France
Legends says an angel killed a dragon on the mountain or something
>being this fat
>>342612998
Does people live there?
>>342612985
The world is hardly huge, it's just 100% hand made and full of neat stuff everywhere you go. If you find a healing plant in a remote place, someone manually put it there and it's there for a reason. This applies to everything else in the games. It makes exploration feel extremely rewarding.

>what is transporting supplies
Never worked a day in your life I bet.
Bully

That was a level in Onimusha 3
>>342613094

>I would really like an open world game that is contained to a small but detailed world
If you'd do that then most people would simply run and jump around the area until they've seen everything and then drop the game becaue they can't be bothered reading the text or actually doing quests/missions. In the end, you wouldn't make another game again, because it would fail.
There's a reason games are targeted at the larger audience these days.

The streets aren't even wide enough for cars retard. It looks like all that blue one can do is just go up and down that zig-zag.
>>342613165
Yes
It's a pretty cool place to go to, the roads get covered when the tide rolls in making it an island.
Tons of nooks and crannies all over that place to look around in.
>You will never live in a place like this
Just end it all. Please

>Legends says an angel killed a dragon on the mountain or something
Kek, nah it's just an abbey dedicated to one of the archangels that was built upon an old pagan ground
I remember spending times on the ramparts watching people trying to get their cars out of the lower parking lots before they get flooded
>>342613741
>he doesn't realize the the island is accessible by car
>calling others retard
Good work, faggot.
>>342614523
Makes no difference for the blue car retard. see >>342614425
They drive up that little zig-zag just because they're too fucking fat to walk an extra 30m
Gothic 1 & 2.
Aren't the Ass Creed games like that?
>>342612468
Shenmue
>>342612468
The Division.
It's a rather unknown indie game about scavenging stuff in New York. It's very detailed and you can go into apartments and stuff.
This game the most felt up to scale to me, even when it isn't 'open world'.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance

the witness is kind of like that
Arkham Asylum
Arkham City
Psychonauts
