Who else cucked up and got the 1080?I love my 1080 for 4k
Experiences?
Hate?Love 1080 thread?
Ordered 2 1080's.
There's not going to be anything faster for a while, even 4 radeon 480's.
Even if you had 4 radeon's 480's the fucking power cost alone is xbox HUGE.
2 1080SLI is about 480watts.
I shouldn't have to upgrade my PC for years now.

Nice anon. Running on my single 1080 is quite strong. perhaps the only game I don't get 60 fps on 4k max settings would be witcher 3 but apparently there is quite a bit of difference between 45fps to 60fps. But you should get that no problem on 2.

Yeah Igamedeisgn and gamedevtoo so it should tie me over for years, I got 64gb of ram with a new i7 too, just waiting for the cards.
The samsung 950's are pretty damn nice too, I've kinda gone all out now, I'll start saving like $25 a fortnight now for the next one then splash out again I think, in 5 years I'd have $3125 which should be good enough for another upgrade.
I've gone MSI, because I have badluck with every brand.

I've had best luck with EVGA. I don't trust MSI with a 10 foot pole not since this video:

waiting for bench of the 480 but I'll probably buy the 1080 anyway.

I'm also aware I may have my RAM clocked down, in the bios it says they're 3200mhz, not sure what's up.

speccy is a great program but it doesn't always detect certain things. When I installed my 1080 it outputted 4gb vram but opening up in gpu-z outputted 8gb vram so it can get specs wrong sometimes.

True, I don't go much on EVGA, Asus is fucking shit and all the returns of gigashite I've had to deal with at work is insane, the only thing that hasn't been returned is MSI laptops we sell, so we swapped over all our brands to MSI in all our builds, because they work for us.
I think MSI use to be shitty 3/4+ years ago, but they've gone BALLS DEEP in quality.

Also it doesn't really matter how you do your heatpaste, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibvs0xrDXag
Check out other ones too, the best is the pea shape though.

Wow I am actually surprised I have no issues at all with quality asus products. Obviously if you pay little for the product especially motherboards they will be mass produced piece of shit regardless of which company. But you spend 150 on an asus motherboard and blow it out with air every so often it will last you forever.
