How the fuck do you Bushido longsword properly?
Whenever I pull off the dodge move, my character continues running a good 15 yards away from the monster, leaving me unable to spirit counter for the weapon up.
I watched gaijin's videos and I swear his character doesn't run that far from the monster.
Also, which weapon(s) will you main at release?
you can uturn after the dodge, if I'm correct, interrupt the run with an attack too
Practice.
You can choose which direction to go, sometimes the quick slash and rolling again is the best way to go.
I've practiced it immensly and never go down from red against that kuga.

EZ. You can choose the direction you run after a bushidodge with the stick, as usual. Then just X->R, bam!, free spirit finisher.

I'll keep at it. had no idea you could choose the direction. I'll also try jabbing directly after to stop my movement, if that doesn't mess up the combo.

Wiht some practice it's really good.
Easily the best Bushido weapon.

Make it a habit at 1st to always press the soft-lock L button after the evade to make it easier to control where you want to dash afterwards. There's no way your combo will be messed up if you press Y afterwards, even if it whiffs everything will come out, spirit combo finisher included. Try and be preemptive with it, sure it doesn't have the range it has normally but the evade dash covers for that since you can start it anytime in the dash animation. Use the hunter art to gain spirit levels if you're having a hard time of it.
