There's a mod, and a CE table, that does that. It messes with the boundary between classes. You can make every weapon skill class independent. You can also make everything, weapons included, class independent. So you could be a warrior with a magic bow and an Archstaff or something.
Just tbe carefull with what you equip your pawn with, since all of the above also affects him.

For every neat element there's a really jarring one and the ones that are neat, like the monster climbing, is not thought through enough. The pawns especially are really disappointing. It would've been nicer if there was a limited amount of followers with personality. I would've loved to have Meredes in my party.
The gameplay is really stale and people who say it's skill-based have no idea what they're talking about. The game is completely dependent on gear since everything is flat and not percentile. You can switch from getting oneshotted by common enemies to easily killing huge monsters as soon as a shop updates or you discover a new one.
Also the story is absolutely laughable.
It's a hybrid of other games without the developers realizing what made those games good.

What all did they fix? I played the shit out of it back when it first released and level cap was still 40 but the end gear grind was so god damn boring. Do shit ass rep quests each week for tokens to make gear, run shit ass elder dragon for more tokens. Can't gear up more than 1 class at a time because of token gating, also price of ridiculously rare materials. I was fun getting there though.

There was a SHIT TON of things cut during production. Which was why there was so much weird and inconsistent scenarios like the Duchess event.
The map we have right now is like less than half of the planned size and content.
I got it when it came out on PC, but after killing Grigori and getting a weird ending where I made out with the guard guy (because I didn't "romance" anyone else I guess) I lost the steam to continue. Going through the catacomb pit or whatever felt super tedious, am I close to the real ending or no?
