If it was single player it would be dumb downed like AC Black Flag sailing. Now, you have to have actual coordination and it goes further than ACBF with needing to repair.

I'm excited, need to see more though. They make it sounds like it's multiplayer only yet obviously that can't be the case judging from the skeletons and other things featured in both trailers.
Looks interesting, I'll have to wait and see as to whether it's worth it though.
While they've showed off the multiplayer and gameplay aspects to an extent, I would want to see more of what the world itself offers the players in terms of progression and structure, enemies, potential for boss/boss like scenarios with the now confirmed kraken/octopus inclusion, or whether it will be more like environmental hazards.
It certainly has a fuck ton of potential to be a unique feeling game though.

I would be if I saw anything to it. That trailer from E3 with four people just dicking around doesn't really give me any incentive to play it. I need to know if there's a goal in it, if there are challenges to overcome or treasures to find(and a box full of randomized loot does not count as treasure). If it's just dicking around simulator I can achieve it with friends in any other co-op game or plain old real life without having to convince them to buy a new game.

m8 they were forced into that position. In fact, rare was pretty shitty before the buyout with DK64 and Adventures, but they got better after. Live and Reloaded, Viva Piñata and even Nuts and Bolts were great.

Yooka isn't for the fans of banjo and kazooie to be honest, it's for people who missed out on the original two. Come release and I guarantee /v/ will be crying it's a blatant rehash of Kazooie and not a worth being considered a spiritual Banjo-Threeie.
I personally can't wait for their next project though, it should be original since they will have already made dosh off nostalgia.
