Replayability is a function of how much wasted time there is doing things like walking around, rewatching cutscenes, watching attacks animate in a turn based game, hiding from attacks in a real time game, etc. The less the better.
As long as you avoid wasted time on pre-fight cutscenes and attacks that stall the fight for a long time, you can have a complex and engaging bossfight that doesn't hurt replayability.

Only real answer. For a game to be as good as it can be, nothing about it can annoy you. Minesweeper lacks a lot, yet is fundamentally a good game. Nier is story focused, and could improve in gameplay, but not to the point where the gameplay is intolerable, and is an awesome game. Different focuses work for different games.
For anyone arguing that gameplay should be at 5, I have 2 things to say. First, it is a video game, not a game. That means it is designed to put graphics to use to bring you something that you can control and enjoy. If graphics weren't important, then people could have been playing table tennis instead of pong. If gameplay needed to be perfect, people could have been playing table tennis instead of pong.
Second, name me a single game with perfect gameplay. Perfect gameplay can not be improved. Every game has a way that it can be improved. Sure, trying to improve some games has led to making the game worse, but that doesn't mean the game was already perfect.

Top jej. Its much much easier to make great graphics than to compose an entire soundtrack for a game. There's no clarification for graphics either. Are we talking realism with 3D shooters or are we talking about well colored, well put together side scrollers? In either case, good visuals are important to enjoy a game.
Music as well can be average as long as it fits the theme. There are certainly games where the music is so good that it pops right out at you but for most games so long as the music fits it's general fine. Rarely is a game ruined by poor music.

I can agree there. I just wish DaS3 wasn't so slow. The beauty in DaS2 and DaS1 was that replaying the game wasn't monotonous and boring. You felt yourself getting better and understanding the routes to getting all the items with every playthrough. DaS3's linearity makes all of that shit itself on your second playthrough, and the whole NG+ to get all the items shit was a direct downgrade to bonfire aesthetics.

When you are talking about art style, you are talking about how the game is designed to look. Cartoonish, anime, realistic, are different styles. Color choice is also part of a style. Black and white, color, bloom, are color styles.
Graphics is along the lines of resolution and details. For example, Disgaea on the PS2 and DS had the same art style, but the graphics on the PS2 were much better than the DS version.

A good story can really enhance the experience of a game, just as a bad one can ruin it.
Really pretty graphics are nice, but I can deal without them. Playing on a toaster PC has made me indifferent to high quality graphics, and there's plenty of great games with shit graphics.
Really good music can make gameplay more enjoyable, boss fights more epic, etc.
Audio is... Well, audio. The only game in recent memory where bad audio quality bugged me was Halo 4's shitty gun sounds. But I don't want ass quality audio for everything either.
A good art style can make good use of poor graphics, or make a nice looking game even nicer. Some games are beautiful just for their great art styles.
Boss fights, when done well, can be fucking amazing. There are some games that I played purely for the great boss fights, while in other games boss fights are just there because they're expected.
Exploration... Kind of a grey area. In open world games, exploration gets stale after a few hours, but in more condensed worlds where everything is carefully hand crafted, exploration can be a beautiful thing. I'm just iffy on it, I like exploring but only so many games have done it right for me.
Having good replay value is always great, the more hours a game has me hooked, the better.

I kinda understand where you are coming from, but at the same time it just didn't feel like 3 was so bad in that aspect that it was THAT inferior to 2. Also, as far as exploration goes, 3 felt like it was a more reasonable world to explore, and more aesthetically pleasing, not meaning just graphically. I guess at the end of the day, they are probably close enough that it just comes down to preferences. Also, don't forget that we have 2 DLC packages to change 3 for better or worse too. Hell, DLC was the best part of BB by a long shot. People praise 2 for the DLC, but I personally preferred the main game over the Ivory King, but I haven't played the other 2 DLC yet. My friend didn't like the other DLC either, and usually our opinions match pretty well so I doubt I will find them much better either.
On a side note, it is refreshing to have a civil discussion on which DaS is better. I don't think I've ever seen that happen before.

If it is bad enough to annoy you, then it brings the game down. This is why I hate the 3DS. Unless games are designed with poor resolution in mind, which most aren't, then the game looks annoyingly bad. If they are 3D, then they are annoying in gameplay due to having a nub at best for a native camera control.
