Luckily Logos was actually pretty good,not good in a "this is an evangelion tier masterpiece" kind of way,
but it was fun and enjoyable and kinda campy at times too, It reminded me of the mecha shows I watched when I was a kid like transformers and power rangers.

It is, but they tend to be structured in such a way that you can usually just take each one on their own, with the overarching stuff being more ways they tie to each other than actual continuous plot. It's more that each one has its own contained plot, but they're all in the same world, around many of the same regions.
That said, 5 is one that actually spans the longest amount of time, as it follows the main character's entire military career. So they talk about and sometimes take part in events of other games, as it happens alongside all of them. But you don't need to know what happened in those to appreciate the story here.
There is one really neat secret character that you'd appreciate more if you played FM 4, though.
All of the numbered ones are good (although 4 is probably the weakest one overall for my money) so it's worth playing the whole series. But if you only have time for one of them, 3 or 5 are the best choices.

It can normally only access the Akashic Records, but at full power it can rewrite them entirely, which is equivalent to rewriting reality.
