Will there ever be a great Fallout game again?
Obsidian's great talent has left, and they may not even return to the franchise.
Isn't sawyer still there?

yeah but Chris Avellone left

John R. Gonzalez
As long as Bethesda is the only dev who make the future Fallout games, it's safe to say Fallout will never be good again.
Obsidian is doing small projects atm

I just hope that PoE 2 will have decent writing instead of the quickly hashed together mess they used for PoE

left Obsidian for Arkane
I guess he wanted to work on more ambitious first person games not
>>342518797
but obviously he will not have the same creative freedom there
Bethesda does not understand Fallout.

Nobody has left besides Chris Avellone, and since he's freelancing nothing is stopping him from working with them
If anything they've gained more talent since Leonard Boyarsky (one of the lead designers behind the original Fallout and Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines) started working there recently
T-45d Power Armor is ugly, Outcast T-45d is edgy ugly
Vegas had better gameplay but 3 had so much better story. Though a mix of the stories would have been best

What? You're trying to tell me that all the politics and factions that had a stake in NV wasn't far superior to "Hey dad, oh yeah let's save the world dad! Shit dad, you're dead. Welp." ?!
>>342521214
>3 had so much better story

>3 had a much better story
cannot make this shit up
>>342521124
looks a lot better than that garbage ranger armor.
>>342521214
They were both shit. Vegas and 3 has essentially non-existant stories. Only difference is Vegas had more joinable factions with similarly vapid and non-existant origins.

no.

As if F4 isn't the best game in the series
>>342516565
He left too
>>342519701
He's a freelancer now, hired by Arkane.
>>342524731
Vegas' story was amazing because it allowed for so many choices.

>Chris Avellone
Honestly not a huge loss. He only worked on DLC and those were a mixed bag. The GOOD stuff from them were handled by another writer who left much longer ago
