<is COD 4 playable on PC?
I really need your help guys.
a few months ago I bought COD 4 on steam but I got a refund because
1) punkbuster is ded and the fix is kinda annoying (I have to reinstall it every time I turn on my computer).
2) I didn't see a single populated vanilla server.
After buying it on the PS3 and not being able to find a single unhacked lobby, i'm considering buying it again.
Since Punkbuster's ded, are there many hackers there too?
Are there at least 3 vanilla servers? No hardcore, no new killstreaks, no modded maps, etc?

I keep CoD 4 (non-steam) installed on an external HDD and every time I start it up there are plenty of servers. Steam and non-steam share the same servers

Don't buy it. CoD4 is dead. You're lucky if you play on a server that actually moderates the idiots who hack out of it. I'd say one in three games is derailed because of a hacker. Don't waste your money.
Buy World at War for the custom zombies and call it quits. Or buy Black Ops II and beyond if you want a Call of Duty multiplayer experience. MW2 has VAC protection but you can still play after you've been VAC banned, not sure about Black Ops or MW3, but BOII has perfectly working VAC.
