Disagree. English Nagito sounds more normal than Japanese Nagito. I think the general impression you should get from Nagito's voice is "friendly, but slightly creepy and off-putting, as if there's something sinister that you can't quite recognize". English voice captures that somewhat for me.

actually, let me change my opinion here slightly. I think the impression that you should get from Nagito's voice is what the Japanese voice was because that's what was the intended voice for Nagito. But I think if you had an exact copy except Nagito's VA is now a native English speaker, I don't think it'd translate as well. Does that make any sense?
Let me put it to you this way. Nagito's wacko super high pitched voice where he uses weird overly familiar terms and refers to himself as "boku" or whatever, that doesn't work in English. You lose that deceptive friendliness of Nagito because you'd think he was a freakazoid the moment he opened his mouth. English Nagito at least has a deceptiveness to it, he can come off as normal and he can come off as crazy, and finding the proper balance between those two is the most important thing when trying to localize a voice for Nagito. At least, that's just my opinion.
