Did anyone else get this yet? I was pretty reluctant to get this game ever since the reveal, but I was so bored with no vidya to play so I decided to get it. If you can get past the pain of what could've been, it's a good game. It's like Persona but better, really. I'm enjoying it a lot more than I had anticipated I would and the idolshit isn't so overwhelming (at least yet) as I thought it would be.
Mine arrives tomorrow. Damn you all who are playing it already.

No one is pretending #FE is a super high quality title because no Atlus game is. This game is on the same level of quality as Persona is and if you're OK with that then it's fine. Gameplay is like Persona but I think the new FE twists make it a bit more fresh and better in my opinion.

I've been watching gameplay videos.
Only thing that concerns me is basically how little proportionately everybody seems to do in terms of damage, to the extent you're dependent on session attacks to make any sort of headway.
I've played pretty much every Megaten title of note, I get the importance of buffing, debuffing and planning your turns out in advance, but I did appreciate that as the series went into the future, they moved away from hours-long slugfests into more fast-paced and expedient battles. It's not that they ever removed strategy, it's that they just pared down having to go through a buff/debuff/hit enemy cycle by three/foruths or so.
At least the attacks are fun to watch happen.
