The PS2 could play PS1 games by Sony re-using some parts of the PS1 in the PS2.
It was a happy accident.
The added BC on PS3 was an expensive affair and they decided to drop it very quickly due to overheating and general price.(they were taking heavy losses on the cell and bluraydrive already)
With the PS4 they took the mistakes they learned from with the PS3 and got developers' opinions on what kind of hardware they should use.
The cell and RSX chips were custom-made and made development a living hell for any developer.
They opted in getting hardware that was cheaper and much easier on the developers.
They would literally have to put a PS3 inside a PS4 to satisfy people like you.
Buy a cheap PS3 slim(not super) and deal with it.
You could always wait 5 years until the PS3 emulator is good enough to play a handful of games properly.

I would make another Ps4 calling it the Ps4.5 where I would raise the price of what a normal Ps4 costs to about 500 to 600 and it would be for the True Sony fans who want to play all their previous Sony games without rebuying or renting them.
