Everytime I see Okami it reminds me so much of Mystical ninja starring goemon. Jesus this game and Mystical Ninja made me love japan.
If you enjoyed Okami for its restoration aspect, you should give De Blob a try. It's a lot more repetitive but it is pretty fun going around a big playground painting everything.
Not really restoration, but The Saboteur has this feature where unliberated areas are in black and whiye and liberating them restores color

Red Faction: Armageddon has this pretty nifty restoring mechanism. Let's you wreck shit so you can rebuild it. Not so much in the vain of Okami and such though.
