I mean, yes, they're both class based shooters but is there a reason each can't be respected and enjoyed in their own regard? One can argue what Blizzard did was get a class and split that class into niche roles and add abilities onto it. However, it doesn't feel to be a class based game like TF2, it feels more like a first person ASSFAGGOTS with a different objective other than destroy the enemy base where each character has an almost niche role they can fit into or a general role as well.

Overwatch abilities are just like the different weapons in TF2.
Uber/Kritz is an ultimate-level ability, Spy disguise and Stealth would just be a Shift/E ability in OW. Melees are innate, instead of a specific weapon, and the like.
Beside the Ultimate Abilities, Overwatch honestly feels, to me at least, what a Team Fortress 3 would be. Characters designed for certain roles, with their weird off-builds becoming a new character (Demo vs SwordDemo, etc)
