I loved before they added the shit-ton of dlc's where you got amazing heist mates that communicated alot. Nothing felt better than completing a robbery without being spotted on overkill difficulty.

it's literal DLC fest nowadays.
Literally 2/3 of the entire game is behind a pay-wall. The netcode and stability suck ass, and all balance's been thrown out of the window long ago.

Its still pretty popular, you can give it a try now and buy it if you like it. They just revamped skills so more builds are viable which is nice. There are a few dlcs that are worth it but most dont really have anything amazing unless you like a particular weapon. You can always join someone else who has the dlc heists if you want to play them.

/v/ overblows this game's DLC practices quite a bit.
The game has been out for 3 years and all of the DLC that exists bundled together costs $47 right now. That might be a lot as a single purchase, but over the course of 3 years, with all of the shit that DLC has added to the game, it's really not an unreasonable price.

Game has a glimmer of hope now that Overkill is in charge again. They made it so the new safes can be open for free, and only new safes drop now.

in that case my advice would be to either not bother with dlc or grab like gage mod courier pack as that adds a lot of weapon mods to a lot of guns and can really make or break a lot of weapons and maybe one or two other packs that just have a gun you wanna use from it for fun
also could try payday general and see if there's anyone there you could try playin with or something

The way they worked out balance now, it's ideal if one or half of the crew are for stealth while the other is loud. Play pro jobs or just don't restart, and use the stealth to both speed things up and open up access to extra loot.
If some members of the team are vulnerable it makes the OP loud members feel like they're actually under pressure to help the team.
I really like the game and I am planning to get all the DLC for it.
