Any of you guys play past GoF?

The games were pretty good but were getting dull as fuck when Azkaban came out. I played GoF, but shit was literally just an action game that got slightly more mature and made the characters say "Damn!" too often. I saw Phoenix's rating and just dropped the series because they were taking the more edgier route.

Pretty much. The first 3 games were great because there was a brilliant adventure aspect to it. I loved running around inside Hogwarts as well as outside of it while playing PoA. (even though the world outside was pretty fucking empty) It just felt big and cool when I was younger. I couldn't beat the shitty owl races though. Fuck that.

The craziest levels were the ones where you just had no guns outright, like after you got captured by the natives. Had to make do of the spears, bait and any fire you could fine. It was great.

Doesn't really bother me. Maybe if the water was clearer, but sharks aren't too scary regardless. The fear is greater in scale than that.

It's the feeling of distance in all directions, the knowledge that any vague shape in the blackness below could be a million times larger and older and more malevolent than anything I've known- the idea that the danger could come from anywhere and I'm isolated, only able to glimpse a small piece of an infinite abyss. It's like standing at the edge of a bottomless pit, except the pit is everywhere.

Honestly, I wish more games would take advantage of it. Makes for a nice scare. Pic related is a good example of what sets it off.

Man, I miss these sort of games during the PS2/GC/Xbox era. This and B tier developed games. There was something so comfy and interesting about them that set them apart from all the big budget triple AAA game stuff. Now a days for movie tie in games it's just some variant on a mobile match 3 game, some runner game, or some novelty puzzle game.

But you also get Ron and Hermoine in some parts. Seriously, I played that game so much, though, I got a new game +++, I believe. At least enough to get Harry and Ron to level 99 and Hermoine to some somewhere in the 80s.

This shit actually made me mad as fuck. I wanted another Lost World-type game, but then we got nothing at all.

I was just as mad when Godzilla 2014 came out and then they released that one really awful Godzilla game where you destroy shit.

I just wanted another game like pic related.

I miss the old Lego games. I mean, the new ones aren't bad per se, but you only need to play one every four years or so to get the full experience.

Come to think of it, I think my local toy stores only really sell toys based off of cartoons and wrestling and shit. And the hip new games that all the YouTube kids channels are playing with these days. I haven't seen any cool original action figures in my country like Action Man and GI Joe for at least a decade now. Shit sucks.
>>

Game only player character and an original ending (which isn't an ending) the piles upon piles of unresolved mysteries made it feel a lot like the tv show.

It's also half finished, just like the tv show

I feel you, man. I can still enjoy the recent ones like LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, but I tried the new LEGO Star Wars demo last week and realised that they've changed fuck all in the last 11-12 years, and it's getting pretty stale. In my opinion anyways.

>Half finished

First I heard about this, I love season 1-4 but I dropped it when it because they were reruns and stopped playing in order on G4 toward the end of it's life.

Look up the ending and it's pretty shitty sounding. The plane mentioned in the ocean in flashback actually was then dead right? Lost actually lost me with how convoluted it got.
>>
>>342466760
Part of the trouble comes from how easy the games are. Because the young age of the target audience keeps the puzzles and combat from being complex, it's difficult for any new mechanic to actually feel interesting. I can't really fault them for keeping the games simple since they're largely based on co-op among small kids, which equals the lowest skill level possible, but I wish they'd find something to improve that'd make the games feel truly interesting and different again.

The LOTR games are probably the best of their recent stuff. There's much more side content, the characters are varied, and it's fun to go exploring around Middle-Earth.

I never bothered with the LOTR or Hobbit ones, just because I havent got mich interest in the films or books, but I've heard theyre pretty good. One of my problems with the recent Lego games is also that they boast about having hundreds of playable characters, but only 20 or so of them actually feel different from one another.
I can only hope for something to freshen the franchise up again, because it's one that I have had a fondness for since I was young.

Honestly, not much has changed since the Lego Indy game. Gameplay is still almost exactly the same, but a lot of the newer ones have open world hubs and 100+ characters.

Crystal Skull is the only Indiana Jones movie I havent seen yet. And I havent heard anything good from Indy fans about it.

This game was so weird
>comes out before the movie
>came with a free ticket to see the movie when it came out a few weeks later
>story had some huge puzzle segments running from sharks
>60% of it was never part of the movie
>clips OF the movie were added between levels
>had no idea how the story went until I went and saw it
I ended up selling my copy. No idea why. I have like 5 or 6 GameCube games that for whatever reason I sold off, which I find weird since I rarely trade games in
