For those, who can't into Xinput, I was too hyped to go downstairs and get my controller, so here are the keyboard keys I figured out

WSAD - your basic movement stuff

Space bar - jump

Z - backdash

X - the B button cancel out of stuff

E - does the fire shard attack (blue shards)

Left Mouse Button - regular attack

Right Mouse Button - does the water attack thing (red shards)

B (or P, too i think) - brings up the pause menu

O - Map

Oh and you can use either Z or Enter to confirm stuff. Couldn't figure out right analog stick aim buttons though.

That's a fair point, Yoshida in particular does seem to have a fairly open mind in regards to funding Japanese-developed games, judging from some of the shit he's greenlit in the past few years. He's been singing Gravity Rush 2's praises from on high the past few months, so it's nice to see he has some faith in a game that probably won't sell super-well.

That said, I would disagree with Journey though, that sold quite well pandering to the pretentious "GAMES AS ART!" crowd.

IGA joined the project as of late in 2nd half of the development when they started to fill it with content. Sure he worked on it, no problem, he did some level design and features coding, but that's just CONTENT FILLING. When the groundbase is laid down it is the easiest part.

But the direction came from Toru Hagihara: he gave the idea to Yamande to go for that style of music, he gave the idea to artists to go for that style of art, he came up with the core gameplay and elvel design idea.

You have to watch whole thing though, I'm not gonna spoonfeed the exact timing since he mentions these things few times. He explicitly said he joined project when it was in development for quite some time.

When asked about music direction and Michuru Yamane he couldn't say anything and then admitted he already did most the job before he joined the project - that's because it was Toru Hagihara who directed her on this.
EXACTLY the same situation was with artists and art-style and art-direction.

I never said he did not work on it - he sure did and he points out few levels or things he coded. But being a coder or writer on the project != being creator or DIRECTOR, who set up the concept and base for the game, who directs the composer, artists and designers.
